One hundred years ago, Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett issued the Plan of Chicago to give people great ideas about how to make the city and region a better place. During the 2008-2009 school year, students at schools throughout Chicago explored the city’s relevance to them historically, currently, and personally and began making plans of their own.The Think Big Youth Expo showcases a selection of writings and artwork that represent youth’s ideas for the future of Chicago and their own roles in its stewardship. The YThink Big Youth Expo is partnership between the Chicago Humanities Festival and Burnham Plan Centennial presented in conjunction with the Chicago Public Library and Chicago Matters with support from the McCormick Foundation.
